The construction of custom Profile segments allows organizations to maximize the utility of their transactional data. These segments represent specific groupings defined based on actionable intelligence regarding individuals who have previously interacted with your entity. The procedure for establishing and capitalizing on these segments is detailed below.

Establishing Segments in the iCortex Engineering Revenue Ecosystem

The inherent advantage of custom segments lies in their granularity and strategic relevance. By correlating attributes such as geolocation, Contact activity, access agent, or browser, a highly defined set of Profiles can be consolidated for campaign orchestration. The technical procedure is as follows:

  • Navigate to the main interface of the iCortex Engineering Revenue Ecosystem.
  • In the side navigation panel, select the “Segments” option.
  • A submenu will deploy under “Segments”. Locate and execute the “Create Segment” action.
  • The segment definition interface will appear. Activate the control designated as “Add Profile”.
  • A window will open to enter the “Segment Identifier” and the “Profile Inclusion” directive. It is recommended to use nomenclature aligned with the segment strategy. For this example, we will define a segment of Profiles accessing via iPhone from Buenos Aires.
  • The group will be named “iPhone-BuenosAires”. All Profiles that interact from this device in the designated capital will be included. Execute the “Confirm” action.
  • The newly created segment will be displayed. Click on the segment container to proceed with fine parameterization.
  • The filtering matrix for segmentation will open. Activate the “+” control under the “OR Condition” directive.
  • Three input fields will appear. In the first field, “Filter Type”, select “Geolocation”. In the second field, “Condition”, select “contains”.
  • In the third field, “Value”, enter “Buenos Aires”.
  • Next, activate the “Additional” expansion control.
  • The three fields will be presented again. Configure “Filter Type” as “Device”, “Condition” as “contains”, and the value as “iPhone”.
  • Finally, execute the “Save” action. The result is a specific and refined segment of Profiles that access your domain from an iPhone device in the Buenos Aires region.

As demonstrated, it is possible to apply any combination of available filters to refine the segmentation. Additionally, the “OR Condition” directive allows for the expansion of the initial segment’s reach. For example, after defining the geolocation as Buenos Aires, you can incorporate “La Plata” or another relevant jurisdiction by adding complementary filters.
